This engineering position requires at least a DoD Top Secret clearance and is in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

FTI is currently looking for a Sr Information Systems Engineer to provide engineering support for the SATCOM program office. This role will have skillsets in agile, DevSecOps, MOSA, and Digital Engineering with someone who has exposure to Space Ground Systems. This position will assist with RPP development, tech evals, prototype down-select, etc. This position will support the following related job tasks:

    Coordinates with project supervisors and business heads
  • Oversee the deployment of Satellite specific software mission systems
  • Provides continual maintenance of the integration/automation scripts to address platform changes
  • Understands the differences between framework and mission applications
  • Applies Strategic SATCOM systems ground architecture to meet program needs
  • Coordinates with project supervisors and business heads and manages all projects regarding enterprise data
  • Ensures the discoverability, fusion, and dissemination of data, reports, and products
  • Understanding of controls and/or otherwise leverages the networks, databases, and nodes used to send and/or receive, process, and store program information
  • Assist the government to determine if information technology is executed within the program
  • Assess whether the government improves and modifies the knowledge management structure continuously
  • Create and review design models and diagrams using model-based systems engineering tools and practices
  • Analyze data solutions for both real-time services and business intelligence
  • Deploying solution with relational and non-relational data structures
  • Design and provide support to all data management methodologies according to required standards
  • Administer mapping of all data sources and movement and analyze it to ensure appropriate quality of all data
  • Manage various data associate problems such as system configuration and integration on multiple platforms
  • Leads briefings and discussions with program management and other essential personnel
  • Strong team player, embracing collaboration with diverse team of Government, SETA, developers, users and supporting FFRDCs
  • Travel: 20%
Education/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field is required (Master's degree preferred)
  • 8+ years of Information Systems Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM)
  • Experience with Space Force Satellite Control Network (SCN) or other ground systems
  • Proficient with STK Satellite Mission Modeling Simulation software tools, OASYS Orbit Analysis software tools, and MATLAB mathematical modeling
  • Must have Current Top Secret clearance and the ability to maintain an SCI
  • Desired experience with drafting RFPs and participating in tech evals
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity of Confluence, SharePoint, Jira
  • Familiarity with DoD software development
  • Must possess strong written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team

For this role, the compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($113K- $150K) . Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
