Cloudera's Data Services product team is looking for an experienced Technical Product Marketing Manager to join us. If you are a hands-on tech marketer or an evangelist, you will love this role. What we are expecting is someone who can -
Be the lead technical evangelist of our Data Services product line, building out differentiated technical content and demonstration scenarios that enable thought leadership
Lead efforts to market to technical practitioners by deeply understanding their needs and use cases
Create technical product marketing materials, including videos, white papers, presentations, web content, and more
Work closely and maintain healthy relationships with product management, sales, corporate marketing, digital marketing, field marketing and other cross-functional teams
Present in webinars and other public events to evangelize our product capabilities and value
Contribute to marketing strategy and messaging, and help maintain technical accuracy of marketing messages
Communicate effectively and clearly to internal and external audiences
Be very thorough and detail-oriented in their tasks and deliverables
Be innovative with their marketing approach in reaching out to our audiences as well as in engaging them frequently

Be the technical voice of clarity for the Product Marketing team.
Work with cross-functional teams to support press & analyst briefings, demand-generation campaigns, and industry events in addition to community/developer and partner marketing programs.
Leverage market and analyst research to stay informed of market opportunity and competitive trends, guiding deeper analysis and field enablement activities.
Thought Leadership - Express your opinion on hot topics and trends pertaining to our space through blogs, social posts and other field usable assets.
Work with field engineering leadership, pre-sales and PS to create and deliver compelling technical field enablement materials and collateral.
Translate Product Management's roadmap,vision and new technical features list into consumable bytes of material as blogs, tweets or other assets.
Pave the pathway for Developer Marketing within the company
Skills and Qualifications -
3-5 years of technical pre-sales, product implementation, product marketing or evangelism experience with data management or IoT/streaming, including experience in cloud / container environments
Superlative written, verbal, and visual communication skills with hands-on creation of technical marketing collateral such as whitepapers, presentations, technical briefs, competitive profiles etc.
Experience with IoT, Streaming architectures or streaming analytics is a HUGE plus
Experience with open source software is ideal. Experience with or a strong understanding of Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka or Apache Flink is a MAGNIFICENT plus!
Great presentation skills to have instant credibility with technical audiences
MUST have a strong Twitter game to engage our technical audiences
