Want to work for the Investment Pricing Utility Team within the largest Global Investment Bank?

The Investment Pricing Analyst will join the pricing team responsible for exceptions and validation requests within a fortune 100 commercial investment bank. This role will include, but not be limited to, daily investigation of vendor prices for various asset types and price types. Investigations will include validating asset prices based on pre-determined system exception types using vendor information.

Additionally, the role may include some manual processing of prices and maintenance of assets in the pricing system to enhance straight-through processing. User testing and documentation of tests or defects for system enhancements may also be added to responsibilities where capacity allows.


The Investment Pricing Analyst will be asked to work through pricing exceptions ensuring validation of the accuracy of the asset prices. In addition, you will review queries from downstream consumers of the trades and work through system issues to resolve (with training and management support).

  • Provide regular updates on projects and metrics to Senior Management.
  • Daily price capture & validation of all investment types.
  • Produce and analyze valuation movements within client portfolios on a daily basis.
  • Review of price confirmation collection within the department.
  • Analyze price movements against market expectations.
  • Complete all daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks and reporting, as required accurately and to deadline.
  • Resolve client queries


  • 1-3 years minimum of Asset Pricing or NAV/Fund Accounting or Reference Data experience in the Financial Services/Banking industry
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Bloomberg terminals and/or Refenitiv, and products (asset classes, fixed income, etc.)
  • Strong MS Office (Excel) skills
  • Understand the effect that changes in prices and other data elements (asset identifiers for vendors) have on the market value of an account and be sensitive to these changes.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and desire to learn new instruments and financial techniques
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot exceptions/issues quickly to avoid market exposure
  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented and controlled environment
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing business and technology needs
  • Ability to use creative thinking to identify solutions for complex processes and/or issues
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work in a team
  • Must be able to take ownership of initiatives and drive them to completion with little or no guidance
