Summary of Job Duties:The Fiscal Support Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related fiscal tasks that are standard or regular support duties within Accounts Payable and the Controller's Office. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
* High School Diploma
* 2+ years bookkeeping experience
* Experience in using automated accounting systems
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment
* Professional oral and written communication skills; must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy, and with a high level of cultural sensitivity
* Strong attention to detail
