Summary of Job Duties:The Fiscal Support Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related fiscal tasks that are standard or regular support duties within Accounts Payable and the Controller's Office. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Essential Functions
*Interact with internal and external customers, vendors and creditors via written and verbal communication methods
*Coordinate with customers to provide proper travel-related information
*Receives, reviews, and audits travel documents to ensure completion
*Maintain all travel related records and documents
*Performs data entry of various information, including invoices and payments, to internal automated tracking and reporting system, general ledger, or other appropriate system after reviewing the documents for accuracy
*Files documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed methods within designated timeframes
*Reconciles travel transactions to travel credit card and general ledger
*Adhere to:
*Accounts Payable Handbook
*Controller's Office Policies and Procedures
*Division of Finance and Administration Code of Ethics
*Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma
* 2+ years bookkeeping experience
* Experience in using automated accounting systems
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment
* Professional oral and written communication skills; must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy, and with a high level of cultural sensitivity
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
* Must exhibit sound and accurate judgment
* Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
* Good planning and organizational skills
* Professional appearance and manner
