As a Technician II in the Rotational Technician Mastery Program (RTMP), you will have the opportunity to work with Test Engineering to develop your skillset by assisting in the development of new automated test equipment for our manufacturing process to ensure our customers receive high-quality, functional products. This to include, assisting in; designing the electrical hardware, writing test software, documentation creation, and the verification and validation of a tester. You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the New Product development teams to learn in depth knowledge of our highly technical products, engage with the Process Engineering team to assist with designing Smart Factory 4.0 initiatives to ensure our testers are in control, and be engaged with the Manufacturing team to learn continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Provide tester support for all new and existing manufacturing testers.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to Operation Technicians.
  • Work with Test Engineers in optimizing automated tester designs for meeting product, process and customer needs that guarantee the product meets our quality and customer expectations.
  • Work with Test Engineers to ensure all automation testers fit within the process and meets all manufacturing needs; takt time, reliable, repeatable.
  • Assist with creating software, scenarios, and scripts to accurately assess new products or software updates according to customer requirements and company policies.
  • Assist with developing testing protocol for various aspects, such as usability, database impact, error and bug finding, and regression testing.
  • Create Verification and Validation Test plans and Test reports.
  • Execute the tester Verification, Validation plans and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies.
  • Create wiring diagrams, provide debug tools, create Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans, and provide accurate documentation to transition the new tester to Manufacturing.
  • Assist with implementing Smart Factory 4.0 initiatives into tester; the right data is being written to the database, tracking of product performance, tracking of tester performance.

*Demonstrated computer skills (MS Office, ability to install and run various software programs).

Desired Qualifications

*Software: C#, CVI, LabVIEW, Python, others.

*Previous experience with hardware/software Automation.
