Chubb is looking for an experienced Property SIU Examiner. This position will be responsible for managing service center SIU claims in Chubbs eastern territory.
The candidate can work from Chubbs Eastern Claim Service Center in Chesapeake, VA or our Central Claim Service Center in OFallon, MO.

The SIU Examiner will handle only SIU claims accepted by the Property SIU Claims Team. The SIU Examiner will work closely with the field investigators on all assigned claims to bring them to a timely disposition. They are responsible for adherence to best practices and all customer service level expectations. The SIU Examiner has indemnity and expense payment authority and issue claim disposition letters. The SIU Examiner is required to hold adjusters licenses in all states that require same. The SIU Examiner is considered a Subject Matter Expert and will provide ongoing support to our inside adjusters.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.

Full knowledge of personal insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and insurance regulations a plus.
Review and analyze referrals from the Eastern Claim Service Center.
Ability to create timely file documentation and have ongoing discussions with investigators and supervisors about investigative strategy.
Review claims for potential subrogation and make appropriate referrals to Recovery when appropriate.
Ability to provide fraud awareness and recognition training to adjusters and required.
Review legal opinions, discuss same with investigators, and make coverage recommendations to management.
Ability to prepare and issue claim disposition letters.
Prepare risk alerts to Underwriting.
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
An aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information.

Current Claims Adjuster licenses in one or more states preferred but must be willing to obtain additional state licensures.
2 years of property SIU adjusting experience preferrable.
