Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field plus three (3) years of computer applications or laboratory teaching experience or
High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of computer applications or laboratory teaching experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Computer program experience: Microsoft Office, Access Database, ABTutor, Blackboard, Deep Freeze
Demonstrate experience working in a service-oriented environment; a friendly, welcoming demeanor is required.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions; ability to remain stationary for extended periods and perform walk-throughs is necessary.
Advanced computer program proficiency.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the complex and ever-increasing array of computer-related teaching and testing tools.
Maintain the inventory of teaching lab computers attending to problems and issues with hardware, software, and networks for teaching and testing.
Educate students, staff, and faculty in the use of the same.
Coordinate the activities of OAS, IT, and UAMS users of the teaching computers.
Oversee the annual purchase of replacement machines.
Oversee all software applications on the teaching computers.
Certify computers for national board exams.
Manage the databases for supplies, equipment, computers, and usage.
Check lab support staff accuracy in data entry.
Assist lab support staff in teaching duties including inventory, receiving, storing, logging in products, lab prep, and student labs. Interact amicably with colleagues, faculty, and students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
