Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Marketing Events Specialist with our client located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Events and Sponsorship Manager with planning, organizing, and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully
  • Coordinate all aspects of event management, from initial planning stages to execution and post-event evaluation
  • Work closely with the Events and Sponsorship Manager, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events that meet the objectives and expectations of all stakeholders
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, from concept to completion
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to secure necessary resources and support for events
  • Coordinate event logistics including venue selection, scheduling, hotel accommodations, equipment rental, organizing materials needed pre- and post-event, and transportation arrangements
  • Manage event budgets ensuring expenses stay within allocated funds
  • Monitor costs throughout the planning process and implement cost-saving measures where possible
  • Develop strategies to attract attendees and raise awareness of events
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams throughout the planning and execution phases
  • Provide regular updates, respond to inquiries, and address concerns in a timely manner
  • Assist with post-event activities, including attendee feedback collection and event evaluation
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and according to plan
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event and make quick decisions to resolve them

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and coordination
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in event management software such as Cvent and Microsoft Office suite
