Job Description
In the Technical Sales Specialist role, you will be responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base. You will develop New Opportunities for Instruments and Services in the MD/DC/VA region.

The ideal candidate will be located in the MD/DC/VA region with sales experience in this region.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will promote the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • One of your tasks will be to identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy
  • You will actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity
  • You will assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriate
  • In this role, one of your responsibilities will be to develop and implement account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with the account plans
  • Work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account
  • One of your duties, will be to coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business
  • You will manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership
  • Willing and able to travel within the territory as needed

What will convince us:

  • You have completed a minimum of an Associate's degree in life sciences or engineering field
  • You have sold into or sales experience within the Government research complex that is NIH and FDA
  • You possess a minimum of 3+ years' field sales experience with laboratory/process-based experience in Life Science
  • You have a high awareness of quality and responsibility and are customer focused
  • Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility

  • Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
  • Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
  • You have the ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written & verbal) with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
