ChristianaCare Private Duty serves patients throughout the state of Delaware, and has needs on specific cases for which we are recruiting, including a 10p-6a shift and a 9p-5a shift, as well as some day shift hours. This is a benefits eligible position with a $2,500.00 sign on bonus for an 18-month commitment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide overnight care while parents and caregivers sleep, ensuring the patient's safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and other prescribed treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate care with the family, the patient's physician and other healthcare professionals.
• Creates positive relationships by serving in a compassionate, responsive and courteous manner.
• Works Overnight andWeekends.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN within 3 years of hire (or Master's degree in nursing)
• 1 year or more professional registered nursing experience
• Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Delaware
• IV proficient (new hires will receive training and be IV proficient within 3 months of hire)
• Education # 2 IV statewide requirement 2406, 2407, 2408, 2409
• Valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience a plus!
