If you are looking for an exciting position in an international company with a strong focus on sustainability and a world leading LCA team, this is the job for you!

Reporting to the Director of Sustainable Solutions, you will help execute our Sustainability Solutions Strategy with particular focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of our products from cradle-to-gate and cradle-to-grave. You will be part of a team with several LCA experts covering a wide range of products such as fragrances, biomaterials, enzymes, plant proteins, emulsifiers, sweeteners, texturants, flavors, etc. Your role will initially focus on expanding our LCA capabilities in our scent business, our emerging designed enzymatic biomaterials business, as well as other projects across the extensive IFF portfolio.

The job will require frequent communication of results and insights to key stakeholders and customers. The role provides plenty of opportunities to help our business and customers to Do More Good.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete cradle-to-gate and cradle-to-grave LCAs of IFF fragrances and scent ingredients
  • Identify footprint reduction opportunities at both a fragrance and portfolio level and share with relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Communicate results in a meaningful and intuitive way to both internal and external stakeholders (incl. businesses, R&D and clients)
  • Complete avoided emission calculations for IFF products in support of our goal to enable customers to save 50 times more CO2e than generated by IFF (Scope 1 & 2)
  • Document results in SimaPro and other relevant formats (reports, articles, presentation)
  • Assist in collection of primary data (and management) from suppliers
  • Contribute to scientific articles and conference presentations where relevant
  • Champion life cycle thinking and leverage LCA in both commercial and R&D
  • Prepare and participate in customer presentations and dialogues related to LCA
  • Participate in relevant external networks and associations
