DaVita is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our high performing corporate finance team. The ideal candidate will be a quick-learner with a strong sense of "team" and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners. The person in this position will be challenged to critically think through complex problems and help solve critical business issues that affect daily operations and overall financial performance. This position and team is based in Denver, Colorado.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

Analytics

  • Strong foundation in quantitative concepts (e.g. financial, statistical, forecasting, etc.)
  • Manage, develop and execute highly visible financial reports that allow C-level executives to identify opportunities and risk areas for future business performance
  • Develop financial models and perform analyses that support strategic decision making for DaVita executive leaders
  • Support the annual enterprise-level budget and long-term strategic forecast processes as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts for developing Wall Street earnings guidance
  • Contribute to presentations for senior executives as needed
  • Other strategic, operational, financial or special projects as needed

Accountability

  • Deliver on-time and accurate recurring financial reporting that provide meaningful insights and drive strategic decision making by our senior executives
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, identifying and acting on most important business problems to solve
  • Drive actionable recommendations from synthesis of insights that push partners to differential results or new strategies
  • Appropriately manage potential roadblocks proactively identifying, communicating, and solving issues

Communication

  • Prioritize communications to focus on most critical information with a bias towards action
  • Contribute to effective communication including insights and progress towards results

Team

  • Contribute to a team environment of trust and learning with multi-directional feedback
  • Collaborate with and participate in cross-functional teams across numerous finance lanes on special projects

Development

  • Aggressively pursue professional development opportunities available to DaVita Teammates
  • Ability to quickly take action on tactical feedback and develop over time

Desired Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative field
  • 1+ years of experience in a financial analyst role, equivalent certification (e.g. CFA, CPA) or advanced degree (e.g., Masters in Finance) preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with financial statements, the relationships among them and the underlying business operations they represent
  • Experience with and understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling or profitability analysis techniques preferred but not required
  • Experience with analytical methods and software, financial planning, accounting or other database systems such as Anaplan, Hyperion Essbase, VBA, Python or SQL a plus
  • Intellectually curious, eager to learn and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Solid work ethic, including ability to follow-up, focus on details and take initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: able to communicate effectively with teammates both internal and external to finance and at senior levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective time management and organization skills

Salary/ Wage Range

$51,400.00-$75,500.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
