Plan for and instruct courses in the area of Automation Engineering Technology.

• Associate degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or an automation engineering related area with six years of relevant experience OR bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or an automation engineering related area.
  • Relevant experience to include occupational experience in an electromechanical technology related field, of which at least 1 year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to date of hire. One year (2,000 hours) of recent related occupational experience may be waived if the applicant has at least 2 years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within 5 years prior to date of hire.
• Extensive experience with automation engineering technology. The ideal candidate will have HMI, VFD, motion, networks, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair, instrumentation, and motor control experience in one or more of the following automation platforms: Siemens, Mitsubishi and Rockwell Automation, with Rockwell preferred.
• Experience in mechanical drive line systems and shaft alignment, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair, installation and maintenance of PLC and motor drives.
• Experience with mechanical power transmission systems preferred.
• This position may include teaching online and requires expertise in integrating technology.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Qualified per CVTC requirements at time of, and throughout, employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) standards, and/or other job specific licensing standards.
