Penn Machine Company, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, has a paid summer internship opportunity in our IT Department. Under the supervision of the IT Manager this individual would have an opportunity to learn and assist with documentation and verification of network infrastructure/equipment and assist with IT related equipment/network troubleshooting and resolution. Also would gain experience in day to day IT operations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with computer issues in Blairsville or Johnstown as related to IT equipment and networking including PC and printer setup, configuration, and installation. Network equipment setup, configuration, and installation.
• Assist in planned software upgrades.
• Documentation/verification of network infrastructure/equipment in JTN and BIG locations
• Other clerical/light networking tasks which may become priority

Position will be based at our Johnstown, PA facility, however, responsibilities may require individual to work at both our Blairsville, PA facility on occasion. Facilities are approximately a 45 minute drive between locations.

This is an opportunity for an individual in their Junior or Senior year of schooling working towards a Bachelor's Degree in an IT network or support field to work with an experienced IT Manager to gain experience and knowledge in a manufacturing environment.
