Software Engineer 3

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

This is a technical role to qualify features on Juniper Core/Edge Router Family products to delivery high quality Software for customer deployment.

Responsibilities:

The candidature will work closely with software , hardware development teams and product marketing to review design specification, then develop functional test plan for review. This candidature is also responsible to execute test cases, report issues in bug track system, debug issues with development for resolution, and automate test cases, and integrate automated scripts for regression.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires M.S. in Computer Engineering or related field and 3-5 years of experience as a test engineer for networking and IP services related products or a BS in CS/EE with 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate must be able to demonstrate strong proficiency in testing in the following areas.

1. High Speed Interfaces and Aggregated Ethernet
2. Prefer experience in performing platform qualification tests on new products - systems, Interfaces and FRUs
3. L2/L3 Forwarding, Firewall, policer, port mirroring, analytics.
4. Routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, Multicast, MPLS, RSVP, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS.. etc.)
5. Automation skill in Python/Perl/Tcl
6. FreeBSD/LINUX/VM environments
7. Test equipment - Ixia or Spirent
8. Outstanding problem-solving skills in the diagnosis and resolution of customer issues
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
10. The candidate must be a self-starter, proactive and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Experience in various test methodologies white box, black box, solution testing is desirable.

Minimum Salary: $120,000.00

Maximum Salary:$172,500.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $120,000.00 and $172,500.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
