ChristianaCare Su Centro de Salud, with Primary Care at Kirkwood is looking for a bilingual Office Assistant.

ChristianaCare Su Centro de Salud, with Primary Care at Kirkwood is located at 5578 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, Delaware. ChristianaCare Su Centro de Salud, with Primary Care at Kirkwood serves our Hispanic community with primary care and family medicine services. Spanish speaking, culturally competent providers and staff give care that feels personal and focused on the health needs of the Hispanic community.

You will be joining a team of three physicians, five medical assistants, and one office assistant.

The Office Assistant fields phone calls, answers patient questions, schedules new and follow-up appointments, registers patients and updates record and represents the entire practice every time there is interaction with a patient.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 8am to 5pm
  • Tuesday from 9:30am to 6:30pm
  • Fridays from 8am to 4:30pm

Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointments.
  • Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages.
  • Manages front desktop.
  • Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
  • Applies ICD9 & CPT4 codes to encounter forms for billing purposes.
  • Performs outreach calls for the team.
  • Interacts between physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
