What you will do

The Commercial Sales Executiveis responsible forpromoting and sellingJohnson ControlsSecurity services and technology within an assigned territory,leveragingrelationships, and closing new business forJohnson ControlsSecurity and ensuring customer retention. This person is theJohnson ControlsSecurity "brand steward", charged with telling our story and clearlydemonstratingthatJohnson Controls is the leading electronic security provider. The Commercial Account Executiveis responsible forsecuring profitable sales and upgrades to new,existingand discontinuedJohnson ControlsSecurity Commercial customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and retention byinitiatingpost installation follow-ups.This rep will also have a commanding knowledge of our product line, as well as that of our services.

How you will do it

  • Adhere to currentJohnson ControlsSecurity policies, procedures, products,programsand services.

  • Createnewmarket share by sellingJohnson ControlsSecurity products and services to new local commercial customers.

  • Selladditionalproducts and services to existing accounts that continue to presentnew salesopportunities.

  • Sell add-ons, amend, and convert existing customer systems to meet the customers' expectations.

  • Renew existing customer agreements.

  • Responsible for resale opportunities within an assigned territory Identify prospectsutilizingcreative lead-generating techniques andmaintainproductive working relationships with existing customers.

  • Independentlyestablishcall plans and customer follow-up strategies and tactics, and consistently apply time and territory management techniques.

  • Follow up with prospects.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and customers' issues and needs through in-house training andreading/research.

  • Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence.

  • Process work order and complete all paperworkin accordance withapproved and standardized procedures.

  • Conductpost-installationfollow-up by contactingcustomer, ensuring commitmentsweremet and affirming customer satisfaction once the customer has been in service

What we look for

Required

  • Commercial Electronic Security experience e.g. Intrusion, Access Control and Video Surveillance

  • High school degree or equivalent required.

  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior level executives within the customer andJohnson ControlsSecurity organizations

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule

  • Available for local travel

Preferred

  • Additional Electronic Fire systems is a plus.

  • College degree or Equivalent Experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security,ITor other technology sales industry,demonstratedby the consistent ability to meet and exceed quota.
