TA Instruments Applications Organization is comprised of highly skilled, motivated and customer focused professionals that are technical experts on TA's product lines. As a Global Applications Support Engineer you'll join a team of specialists that are committed to ensuring TA's world-renowned support for our customers who use our analytical instrumentation. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with multiple teams across the global organization, including: Sales, Service, Product Management, and Engineering. Whether you are developing new test methods, running samples, instructing training courses, giving technical seminars, or doing other tasks to support our worldwide business you'll find new and exciting challenges daily.

Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to
    Provide Applications support activities for our rheology and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) product lines. This includes our Discovery Hybrid Rheometer series, ARES and RSA product lines, and DMA 850 instrument.
  • Develop methods, conduct feasibility tests to characterize customer samples, and analyze data to support sales efforts.
  • Lead training courses, both lecture based and hands-on at customer sites, for employees and external customers.
  • Partner with strategic marketing and product management to identify and create technical content to support growth and strategic initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise to customers by email, phone, and in person.
  • Maintain applications lab facilities
  • Participation in conferences and tradeshows
The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
    • Masters or Ph.D. preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant industrial experience.
  • Has a solid understanding of rheology, mechanical testing, and instrumentation.
  • Prior experience with TA Instruments software and instrumentation preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel by both air and ground carrier. Both domestically and internationally.
