As an MWI/Micro Technologies Field IT Specialist, you will have the exciting opportunity to work with cattle feeding and dairy operations, focusing on the installation and maintenance of unique computer systems, software, and network infrastructures. Joining our team means delivering exceptional customer service and support while gaining valuable experience in the field.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Engage in direct communication with our customers

• Install, train, maintain, diagnose, and replace computer hardware components including servers, computers, switches, modems, routers, as well as wired and wireless infrastructure hardware

• Demonstrate experience in system virus removal

• Possess the ability to climb grain legs, ladders, and similar indoor and outdoor structures

• Conduct coaxial and networking cable runs

• Adapt to a wide variety of computer/network equipment applications with preference given to candidates with strong network experience

• Regular local day travel to customer sites including dairy farms and cattle ranches

• Occasional long-distance overnight travel may be required

• Participate in a rotating weekend "On-Call" schedule

• Fulfill any other duties as assigned

• Basic OS troubleshooting (preferred) as well as some basic knowledge of Linux is preferred but not required

• Experienced in Windows XP, Vista 7 & 8 troubleshooting

• Must have experience with supporting 1 to 20 computers / workstations

• A degree or certification is preferred, but not required

• A successful candidate must have equivalent experience in a technical field

• Must be fully qualified to perform the technical tasks listed.

• Must be motivated, reliable, and trustworthy

• Must be motivated to learn and adapt to areas you may be unfamiliar with

• Must be eligible to drive a vehicle that is DOT certified (CDL not required)

• Must have the ability to maintain a DOT log book

• Must have a good driving record
