Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Service Center Operator position. As a Service Center Operator, you are responsible for conducting daily prestart inspections on all required equipment/machine and identify issues. Pulling, staging, and final packaging for customers.

This is a 1st shift position. The hours for this position is from Monday to Friday from 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Pulling and staging feedstock for production orders
* Finished good piece finishing to meet customer expectation
* Final packaging of material per customer specification
* Ensuring size, material finish, and accuracy of the finished goods
* Staging of material for outbound shipping
* Operating a crane and forklift to move material as needed
* Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:
* Some experience working in a manufactory environment
* Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time
* Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice
* Ability to navigate on a computer to find information, enter information when prompted and print as necessary
* Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing and mobility
* Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and procss monitoring & problem-solving skills
