Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for at First Shift Part Cleaner (SCOC). As a First Shift Cleaner (SCOC), you are responsible removing and cleaning parts of metal.

Roles and Responsibilities:
*Selects abrasive wheel, or disk according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to grinder
*Starts grinder and moves it over surface of workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, expand burs , sharp edges , and slag from burn department
*Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in the work
*Must completely follow shop related safety protocol, policies, and procedures
*Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
*Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection.
*Lift/move up to 50 pounds
Position Requirements:
*High school Diploma or GED
*Knowledge of abrasives
