Senior Technical Developer, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Jersey City, NJ:

Design and develop solutions for Capital Markets application using Java, J2EE frameworks and Spring Boot. Model wireframes for UI requirements using JavaScript, AngularJS UI, JQuery frameworks. Expertise with designing applications hosted on Docker containers. In-depth understanding of messaging architecture concepts and experience developing solutions to integrate with messaging platforms Solace, MQ. Experience with packaging and deployment concepts; Jenkins, Fusion, and Ant. Know-how and experience with configuration management, collaboration tools like Github, SVN. Experience working with release, change management tools like JIRA, HPQC, Service Now. JUNIT design and development for unit testing the solutions. Research, design, and develop solutions using Restful services. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in:

  • Design and development solutions for Capital Markets application using Java, J2EE frameworks and Spring Boot;
  • Model wireframes for UI requirements using JavaScript, AngularJS UI, and JQuery frameworks;
  • IT project solutions implementing agile methodology;
  • IT project solutions addressing regulatory compliance and audit issues affecting banking businesses in the capital markets; and,
  • Data manipulation and end user computing tool development skills (including SQL queries and Microsoft Office products: Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word, Visio).

Must have 2 years of experience in:

  • Designing applications hosted on Docker containers;
  • Designing and developing Restful services;
  • Messaging architecture concepts and experience developing solutions to integrate with messaging platforms Solace and MQ;
  • Packaging and deployment concepts; Jenkins, Fusion, and Ant;
  • Configuration management and collaboration tools including Github and SVN;
  • Working with release, change management tools including JIRA, HPQC and Service Now; and
  • JUNIT design and development for unit testing the solutions.

Certification: JAVA Certification

The base salary for this job is $169,229 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
