JOB SUMMARY: Performs housekeeping duties within the facility. Cleans and disinfects patient care areas and administrative area. Removes trash and infectious waste from patient care areas. Will interact with patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric while providing the highest level of customer service in accordance with UM UCH mission, vision, and values.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education & Training: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: Strong Customer Service background with demonstrated reliable work history. The incumbent will require up to 1 month of detailed job orientation and training to gain specific capabilities to perform essential job functions.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to: a) handle multiple tasks simultaneously, b) communicate effectively orally c) maintain confidentiality, d) ability to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the EVS department, including all shifts Demonstrated skill in: a) excellent customer service, b) attention to detail and follow through, c) matching applicant strengths and skills to the appropriate position.
