Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician Level II position. As a Maintenance Technician II you are responsible for providing day-to-day support of operations through troubleshooting, problem analysis, and review of equipment failures.

This position currently is located in Shelbyville, KY, and at such time as determined by Ryerson, this arrangement may change.
This position is 2nd shift. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 3:00pm: 11:00pm


Roles and Responsibilities:

Able to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and components.
Use knowledge of 12VDC to 120 VAC, voltage, and current meters to repair and maintain equipment Use knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics to diagnose and repair equipment
Mechanical and electrical machine diagnostics
Conduct electrical diagnosis of circuit breakers, relay logic and motor controls Coordinate major PMs on overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks
Welding and fabrication abilities to repair or build parts and equipment
Operate cranes and mobile equipment
Perform predictive and productive maintenance and machine repair All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
2-4 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
Must be willing to learn through on-the-job training and through higher education to advance through each level of the maintenance function
Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, mobility and lifting
Ability to perform basic Algebra functions (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, conversions, and formulas)
