Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Flatbed Truck Loader (SCOB). As a Flatbed Truck Loader (SCOB), you are responsible for accurately loading finished product on multiple flatbed trucks for multi-stops.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* This position is safety sensitive. Successful candidate is required to operate a forklift and overhead crane in a safe and efficient manner
* Safety is a priority - you will learn proper safety measures via online and in-person training
* You will use an overhead crane and forklift to load outbound shipments of metal products
* You start the day reviewing production orders, then preparing your material for loading
* You ensure the material meets a customer's expectations with accurate and proper loading techniques
* Check to make sure your machine is in working order and document any issues
* You will keep your work area clean and ensure that all workplace hazards are reported immediately

Position Requirements:
*1-3 years of experience with Forklifts and Overhead Cranes
*Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time
*Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements
*Great attitude and team player
*Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice
*Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
*Ability to find, enter, and print information on a computer as necessary
