Job Description

Quality Control Technician

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, lawful resident alien, citizen of American Samoa or other territory owning permanent allegiance to the United States.

Responsible for technical documentation and conducting assessments on complex records and data projects. Ensure proper operation of documents and records tracking, with experience in quality control or document control. Apply knowledge of industry concepts and practices, relying on guidelines. Duties include quality control inspections, data collection on efficiency, specimen handling, data entry, and report generation using Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) and Specimen Management System (SMS).

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation of procedures and practices.
  • Conduct assessments for complex records and data projects, providing recommendations for solutions.
  • Ensure the proper operation of documents and records tracking systems.
  • Leverage experience in the quality control or document control field, applying industry concepts and practices.
  • Rely on pre-established guidelines to perform job functions effectively.
  • Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring adherence to standards and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collect data on efficiency, with a focus on specimen handling, data entry, packaging, archiving, and storage.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for inspections, audits, and data collection.
  • Develop forms for data collection, ensuring they align with quality control standards.
  • Establish reporting formats for data collection and quality control inspections.
  • Responsible for data entry and report generation using the Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) and Specimen Management System (SMS).
  • Monitor compliance with quality control standards and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in specimen handling and data management processes.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams and personnel to ensure seamless data management and quality control processes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Quality Control Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some positions may require vocational training or an associate degree in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and equipment. Familiarity with testing methods, measurement tools, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections and tests.
  • Good communication skills to report findings, discrepancies, and collaborate with team members.
  • Understanding of industry-specific quality control standards and procedures.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues, offering solutions for improvement.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, report generation, and use of quality control software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control compliance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control activities.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects, depending on the nature of the role.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of testing equipment relevant to the industry.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and awareness of potential hazards in a quality control environment.
