Job Description/Essential Functions:

Horizon House is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues and substance abuse. Horizon is Pennsylvania's oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population focusing on individual strength and choices.

Our Human Resources Department has a career opportunity for an HR Representative in Wilmington, Delaware.

The purpose of this role includes:

  • To assist with the overall recruitment efforts of the Agency.
  • To oversee applicant tracking and Agency recruitment resources for assigned areas.
  • To maintain personnel files and HR Records.
  • To provide support to the HR Manager in the areas of employee relations, unemployment compensation, compliance, credential, and training.


Job Qualifications:
  • B.A. Degree in Personnel, Business or Public Administration or a closely related field preferred and at least 2 years of relevant experience in employment processes; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and be available for regional travel.
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to learn employment laws and regulations.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work with changing priorities, people, rules and program needs.

Scope:

  • Required sitting for long periods of time.
  • Frequent talking and listening.
  • Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule, including some evening and or weekend hours.
