In close cooperation with Treasury & Trade Solutions stakeholders, lead and manage project execution for the centralized Tax Information Reporting team in FRSS and drive the strategic agenda for Tax Information Reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting projects for various tax information reporting functions including tax form validation, withholding / reconciliation, and information reporting under the IRS, FATCA, CRS, and certain local regimes. This position includes accountability for migration of information reporting work from different businesses globally into FRSS; roll-out of new systems for Tax Information Reporting; providing updates to business partners through service delivery conversations.

This position may be responsible for directly managing a staff of professionals in a team-oriented environment and will have direct responsibility over people & budget supporting Information Reporting for their Business line.

The key objectives are as follows:

  • Assume full project management responsibilities for end-to-end implementation of all assigned deliverables, including proactive identification and management of risks and issues, program/project plans, stakeholder engagement, scheduling and resource management
  • Support the program manager to implement appropriate program governance structure at global and regional levels, including production of appropriate project and program dashboards and status updates for executive-level stakeholders
  • Develop individual project artefacts as necessary, including Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), project plans, RAID logs, Business Requirements documents (BRDs) and UAT plans
  • Ensure work streams and projects meet requirements and are of the appropriate quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project/program plans and program governance arrangements
  • Ensure adherence to Citi program and project standards as needed
  • Identify key project risks and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly
  • Coordinate cross business functions (e.g. Operations, Middle Office, Front Office, Technology, Compliance, Tax, Legal, Infrastructure and Finance) and senior management to execute necessary policy, process and technology change
  • Assist in budget management, including setting project budgets and monitoring burn rates
  • Support FRSS' Service Delivery model with all stakeholders
  • Identify and participate in process re-engineering and re-design activities to achieve better controls, compliance, and efficiencies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 6+ years' experience in financial services and successful evidence in leading multi-region projects
  • Credible track record of successfully implementing projects in the financial services industry, including delivery of major level, multi-streamed projects, encompassing IT and operational process change/improvement is essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and foster internal relationships is essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions up to senior levels of management (e.g. Director, MD)
  • Ability to lead planning sessions, challenge the status quo where appropriate and drive decision-making processes
  • Experience with a global bank's process & operational environment highly desired
  • Experience in working across technology and business projects and managing inter-dependencies
  • Ability to design processes and procedures including proven track record at Process Re-engineering, Re-design, Process Automation
  • Proven ability to act as a change agent for organizational and product transformational initiatives
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Visio/Blueworks, MS Word and MS Project knowledge essential
  • Strong understanding of Treasury & Trade Solutions business process, data model, and supporting technology infrastructure preferred
  • Strong understanding of U.S. tax information reporting requirements highly desired
  • Must be eligible to work in US. This position does not offer VISA sponsorship.
