Position Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated Laboratory Researchers at all levels to join our dynamic research team in our Center City location. As a Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting scientific experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in our field of research. Our positions offer an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment, fostering intellectual growth and professional development.

Note: The specific responsibilities and requirements may vary depending on the level of the position (e.g., Research Assistant, Research Associate, Research Technician, Lab Specialist and Manager). Candidates are encouraged to highlight their relevant experience and qualifications in their applications.

We have exciting opportunities in a number of departments, and we are seeking candidates with specific skills and expertise in the following areas:

  • Cancer Biology: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR and western blotting, cell biology and animal handling specifically with mice models.
  • Pathology: Microscopy skills and techniques, PCR and gene expression analysis
  • Dermatology: animal handling experience (mouse models), cell culture, PCR and gene expression analysis.
  • Neuroscience: experience in animal models specifically bats and mice models, PCR and gene analysis.
  • Otolaryngology: PCR, immunochemistry and cell culture.

Requirements:

- Education:

All levels: Bachelor#39;s, Master#39;s, or Ph.D. degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields).

- Experience: Entry-level applicants may have some research experience through coursework or internships, while more experienced candidates should demonstrate a track record of successful research projects.

- Basic Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and scientific software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Experimental Design and Execution: Plan, design, and perform laboratory experiments to address research questions or hypotheses. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.

2. Data Collection and Analysis: Accurately record experimental data and analyze results using appropriate statistical and analytical tools. Interpret findings and present them in a clear and concise manner.

3. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.

4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with fellow researchers and team members, contributing to group discussions and sharing insights. Present research findings in internal meetings and potentially in conferences or publications.

5. Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of experiments, protocols, and data, ensuring reproducibility and accuracy.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working with hazardous materials and laboratory equipment. Promote a culture of safety in the laboratory.

7. Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed about emerging technologies and methodologies in the field.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
