Job Description

About the job:

  • Understand & fulfil all requirements for Maintenance Planning with respect to KHMS Maintenance, Reliability & Engineering pillar.
  • Plan corrective and preventive maintenance activities including the safety aspects of all jobs;
  • Utilise SRM, CMMS/EAM, MS Outlook and MS Project to enter, retrieve and communicate the various planning information and parts ordering;
  • Inspect and estimate jobs that are candidates for planning and/or scheduling;
  • Develop stores plans for equipment based on criticality, frequency and historical costs;
  • Develop, supervise and maintain an effective inventory control system;
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with all managers/supervisors throughout the plant to ensure a totally effective material control system;
  • Continuously evaluate the operation of the stores and inventory control function and make recommendations to the maintenance manager to ensure maximum efficiency;
  • Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at the highest level;
  • Ensure that all inventory control records, receiving, dispersal and existing inventory are correctly maintained through the company inventory control system;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the inventory control system;
  • Be open to attend training sessions concerning maintenance planning and scheduling techniques, skills or methods;
  • Actively participate and uphold the sites Food Safety & Quality routines & requirements;
  • Actively participate and uphold the sites Health & Safety routines & requirements;

About you:

  • Experience in a fixed plant maintenance operation with exposure to either, planning, scheduling or inventory control, or all three elements together;
  • Trade background would be an advantage but not essential;
  • Clean, full NZ Drivers Licence;
  • Current certificates in Working at Heights, Confined Space, Permit Issuing, Forklift licence, would be an advantage but not essential;
  • Knowledge of fixed plant engineering maintenance practices;
  • Experience in an FMCG environment;
  • Computer literacy with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & Project)required plus CMMS, SRM, JDE systems an advantage but not essential;
  • Experience with preventive & predictive maintenance routines;
  • Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines ensuring production line availability & efficiency is maintained;
