Job Details

ChristianaCare is looking for a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our large, well established Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) program. As a member of Christiana Pediatric Hospitalists (CPH), you will provide family-centered and evidence-based care to ChristianaCare's pediatric patients, in the hospital setting at our Newark Campus. You will also serve our patients and families at our satellite practice at Bayhealth Kent Campus. Our hospitalists have opportunity to serve patients in multiple settings, including the inpatient pediatric unit, the newborn nursery, and the delivery room, as well as in the urgent/emergent setting. This is an exciting time of growth for our team, as we anticipate the completion of our new Pediatric Center. This new hybrid unit will combine Pediatric urgent/emergent, observation and inpatient care in one space, using an innovative care model focused on the needs of sick and injured children and their families. We have a large medicine-pediatrics hospitalist program, and will consider medicine-pediatrics applicants, as well as part time pediatric applicants. Candidates may be BC/BE in PHM and must be BC/BE in General Pediatrics.

As the largest academic institution in the state, ChristianaCare Pediatric faculty will have the opportunity to teach Pediatric residents (Nemours Children's Hospital Delaware), Med-Peds residents, Family Medicine Residents and medical students (Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University), in addition to physician assistant and nurse practitioner students. At our satellite practice, we lead inpatient pediatric and newborn teaching for the Bayhealth Family Medicine Residency program as well as rotating medical students. CPH physicians also contribute to collaborative efforts to improve quality and safety for pediatric and newborn patients and serve leadership roles at our main and satellite campuses. Our PHM physicians are also eligible for non-clinical time to lead and contribute to these important non-clinical projects.
