Position Overview

ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to support a contract at Seal Beach NWS in Seal Beach, CA.

Description
    Responsible for troubleshooting, operating, installing, repair, testing and calibration of electronic, RFI, microwave, mechanical and specialized test equipment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electronic and mechanical equipment to the component level as well as an ability to repair complex electronic and electromechanical assemblies to the component level.
  • Requires operating oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers, TMDE and GPETE.
  • Responsible for depot level repairs of TMDE such as Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, Microwave Equipment, Multimeters, Generators and Specialized Avionics Test Equipment, such as TACAN T/S, Radar T/S, Transponder T/S, Weapons T/S as well as computer (ATE) systems.
  • Responsible for utilizing of commercial and Navy documentation schematics, wiring diagrams, Instrument Calibration Procedures (ICPs) and technical service manuals (NAVAIR drawing and publications) to troubleshoot test equipment to board and component level.
  • Responsible for conducting all the repairs to the component level and replacement of electronic components and/or parts.
  • Responsible for providing required technical support to programs including, but not limited to, technical support services, logistics, information technology, software, test and evaluation.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic checks and make difficult technical decisions surrounding concepts in electronic and microwave theory.
  • Ability to perform necessary adjustments to provide in-tolerance conditions and report all out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Knowledge of technical engineering concepts, principles and practices necessary to perform the full range of projects concerned with producing, overhauling, refurbishing, or redesigning systems such as GPETE and ATE systems or other combat or combat support systems.
  • Responsible for interfacing with vendors to conduct research on parts/components and/or for technical support.Use tools such as screwdrivers manual and battery operated, soldering equipment soldering irons solder extractors, drills, pliers' wrenches, etc.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of current, relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience on quality management systems (ISO9001:2008 or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of function and troubleshooting of aviation support equipment such as AN/ARM-156 Radio Test Set, AN/UPM-155 Indicator Test Set, AN/AMW-96 Weapons Test Set, 1383AS200-1 Propeller Synchronizer Test Set, AN/ALM-283 Countermeasures Test Set, and AN/ASM-663 TACAN Test Set, AN/APM-403 Radar Altimeter Test Set is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Navy software such as MCMS, METPRO, FEDLOG, NATEC is highly preferred.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of in an industry trade school or civilian college in electronics is required. Completion of an appropriate military "A" school and completion of at least one appropriate military "B" or "C" school may be substituted for the two year requirement.
