Ryerson is currently seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join our team based out of our Minneapolis regional headquarters.

The Cash Application Specialists position is responsible for the accurate application and posting of customer payments. This position will work closely with all members of the Regional Credit Department to insure all unapplied cash and deductions are resolved timely to maintain the credibility of the customer's credit standing.

Job performance must be done in such a manner that the Cash Application Specialists be able to communicate and interact with all levels and departments within the Ryerson organization.

Accountabilities:

* Timely posting of all payments not automatically posted by the lockbox service.
* Timely reporting of all unauthorized deductions to appropriate Credit Analyst
* Interacting on a daily basis with Credit Analyst to resolve payment deductions
* Interacting with regional branches on payment adjustments
* Creating and running non-conformance reports as needed
* Other duties as assigned

* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated competencies of being a team player, maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, other departments and all levels of management
* Excellent at prioritization and multi-tasking. Able to work with multiple deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
* SAP experience highly preferred
* Able to perform job duties under stressful conditions

Position Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Working knowledge of MS-Office Suite applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Outlook)
* Ability to work repetitive tasks with a high level of output
* Able to perform job duties under stressful conditions
