Position Description:
SFI-Gray Steel, a family company of Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., is a precision flame cutting company specializing in the cutting of carbon and alloy steel plate. We are looking for a CAD Programmer to join our warehouse team in Houston, TX.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Utilize AutoCAD and Sigmanest to create CNC files to control onsite plate cutting equipment
* Work with Sales Department to accurately nest parts for quoting and costing purposes
* Work with Operations Department to ensure material is utilized efficiently and in a cost effective manner
* Occasionally work directly with customers to ensure that SFI produces parts that are acceptable for their needs and requirements
* Other job-related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
* HS Diploma or equivalent
* Previous AutoCAD and applicable nesting software experience
* Familiarity with CNC burning of carbon plate via oxyfuel or plasma.
flame cutting and plasma cutting machines
* Previous steel industry experience is highly preferred
* Previous operating experience is preferred
