Essential Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Performfieldwork including planting, staking, rouging, detasseling activities, laborcrew management, data acquisition and seed harvest

  • ScoutingSeed fields for pests

  • Interactingwith growers

  • Managedata from experiments which includes acquisition, analysis support

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education &Experience:

  • Requiresa High School diploma or equivalent

  • Mustbe pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, AgriculturalBusiness, or another closely related field of study

  • Priorfarming and or seed production experience preferred

  • Desireto learn and drive excellence in seed quality and performance

  • Musthave a valid Driver's License

  • Proficientin English

  • Allapplicants must be eligible to work in the US

Additional Knowledge,Skills, Traits & Abilities:

  • Communication-Theability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired

  • Detail/AccuracyOriented-All procedures and policies must be understood and followed

  • Autonomous-Anindependent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Abilityto work long hours (7 days per week), and work in outside environment

  • Knowledgeof plant physiology

  • Knowledge of seed biology
