Job Description
FieldLink is looking for an Audio Visual Foreman for new construction and retrofits in MD, DC and VA.

Job Description:

Responsibilities: Ability to think and work independently and meet necessary deadlines. Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools. Coordinate needs and actions with other trades on the job site Ability to manage budgeted hours and control job cost from field perspective Facilitate relationship-building with other trades Assure that all time and resources are budgeted properly for maximum return on investment. Schedule and conduct project walk-through with appropriate employees, subcontractors, general contractors, and clients Conduct pre-project meetings with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management to gain overall project vision Work with Project Manager to develop a Project Plan to assign tasks to Installation Technicians; and then manage the outcome

Ensure all equipment and materials are staged prior to the start of the project Coordinate Installation Technician and Programming schedules with Project Manager
Daily update on project status and scheduling with Project Manager and subcontractors
Daily jobsite cleanliness, organization, materials disposal and recycling
Daily project quality control and feature requirements
Provide assistance to Installation Technicians as necessary to complete the project.
Daily maintenance of Project Punch List Ability to solder and crimp connectors
Perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
Pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blue prints.
Proficiency in mechanical fabrication and equipment rack wiring.
Perform field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron).
Ability to diagnose complex system problems..
Possess minor programming capability (AMX/Crestron) - changes and troubleshooting.
Ability to manage medium to large projects.
Demonstrate job site leadership.
Ability to test integrated system and train client on use.
Proficiency with test and calibration equipment.
Take fleet vehicle in for regular maintenance.
Act as customer liaison in absence of Project Manager:
Responsible for job documentation as needed.
Ability to travel and work at various job sites
Deliver equipment with associated responsibilities.
Provide positive and effective interaction with internal and external customers.
Mentor less experienced technicians
Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills; creative thinking.
Effective professional-level interaction with employees, customers and colleagues

Must have a verifiable and clean background.
Maintain inventory of equipment
. Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables,
Set up and operate sound equipment.
Termination of cables such as XLR, RCA,BNA, Coax, 3. 5mm audio Cat5e/cat 6 shielded
. Ability to solder cables and connectors
Ability to think and work independently and meet necessary deadlines.
Effective interaction with employees, customers and colleagues.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime when necessary.
proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Audio visual technicians must be creative and flexible with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with coworkers and clients, often under deadline pressure..
Audio visual technicians must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time , be comfortable working on ladders and on floors.
Must be able to safely lift up to 35lbs Be able to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools and materials.
Loading and unloading equipment.
Perform a full quality control check for all fabrication and installation efforts including but not limited to AV best practices and IVCi company standards
Complete / approve any red line updates on system drawings for any changes required during the fabrication, installation, and quality control steps
Perform full system calibrations for audio and video on installed systems
Perform full control system test out with programming support for installed control systems
Complete system test and commissioning for installed solutions both remotely and onsite at client s premises
Must possess a valid Driver s License and be a safe driver have a high school diploma or G. E. D Industry certifications including:
CTS, or CTS-I. Other certifications associated with AMX, Crestron, Extron, and Biamp a plus.
