Kim started her career at Boeing as an intern in 2005 on the F-22 program. Upon graduation from Purdue University, Kim went back to Boeing full time as part of the Puget Sound Integrated Defense Systems: Systems Engineering Rotation Program. Kim presently supports Boeing's Defense Space and Security organization as a Systems Engineer where she is currently responsible for performing rapid vehicle prototyping, design, integration, test and analysis.

Additionally, Kim has supported Boeing Research & Technology's alternative power projects where she conducts design studies on a variety of vehicle platforms. Kim is currently the Chair of the Pacific Northwest Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) where she founded AIAA's PNW Technical Symposium.
