Position Description:
Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., is one of the largest metals distributors in the US. We operate approximately 100 locations with 3,900 employees in North America, Canada and China. We are currently seeking a Sr. ABAP Developer to contribute as an essentialmember within the IT team in Lisle, IL. This position will report to the SAP ABAP Manager, but will work with all members of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Develop technical specs and programming code to fix production issues and implement new functional features and interfaces for our SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA system.
* Define and execute test cases as directed by the SAP Business Analyst.
* Be a problem solver. Identify, investigate, and/or confirm reported issues. Determine the source of the issue and coordinate its resolution.
* Ability to think out-of-the-box to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.

Position Requirements:
* 7-10+ years of ABAP programming experience
* Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
* The candidate needs to be a quick learner and self-starter.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Detail oriented with an analytical aptitude.
* Effectively use the Microsoft Office suite.
* A college degree is preferred, but not required.
* Experience with any of the following would be considered a plus:
o SAP Variant Configuration
o Mendix
o OData Services
o Fiori and SAPUI5
o Javascript and HTML5
