We are currently seeking a Hardware Support Engineer for our North America (NA) Service organization based at Newark, DE facility.
What you will accomplish together with us
Perform post-sales telephone and on-site technical support for the NA Service organization
Assist in handling installations, upgrades, testing, and maintenance on new or complex equipment
Provide guidance to the Field Service staff on the function, usage, operation, and repair of products
Maintain a high level of product knowledge. Serve as a liaison between the US organization and various manufacturing sites
Convey feedback to QA and the engineering staff
Attend product service training and act as the North America trainer for the Bioprocess Service Team
Route application questions from customers and sales reps to the appropriate Applications team
Take ownership of technical issues, and work with our Development group to resolve advanced issues when necessary.
Resolve escalated field issues without the need for management intervention.
Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.
Provide technical training as required.
What will convince us
Minimum of 5 years of Field Service experience; Biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred
BS in an Electrical/Electronic discipline or equivalent combination of industry experience and technical/military training
Up to 50% travel is required to support Field Service Initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting ability
Proficiency with MS Office software
Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 accreditation requirements as well as GMP/GDP
Able to prioritize workload and customer demands
Strong team player who works well with others
