Department OverviewThe US Federal Governments Markets Division is chartered with being the premier, compliant supplier of world-class communications solutions to the U.S. Federal Government by providing the highest quality products, systems and services. The USFGMD will achieve this with a professional, well-trained, diverse work force creating a positive and profitable customer relationship resulting in total Customer Satisfaction and growth of our business. The Federal Technical System Manager (TSM) department of the USFGMD is responsible for supporting a charter of managing and maintaining complex systems sold worldwide to the US Federal Government. As a USFGMD TSM Manager, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale and Post Sale phases of a project and lead your team of highly skilled TSM's by example. These applications span the entire breadth of the US Federal Government throughout the world.Job Description
  • The preferred location is the Mid Atlantic region of the US, but could be open to other regions for the right candidate.

  • Willing to travel at least 25% of the time, and be a self motivator.

  • Responsibilities will include managing a group of Technical System Managers who work on site at dedicated Federal Government customer locations.

  • Responsible for assisting in Business Development and migration path of the Federal Managed Zone Core.

  • The Federal Zone Core is a hosted core that accommodates Federal customers' RF and dispatch sites as well as providing OTAR services.

  • The Managed Zone Core is currently at 2019.2 system release and is on the standard SUA migration path.

  • Must be able to verbalize and communicate concepts and recommendations to the customers andwithin the Motorola organization.

  • Must have a detailed understanding of Motorola systemspermitting the individual to assist in the design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Motorola's product lines.

Qualifications:

  • Business development experience for continuous growth of Federal Markets

  • Experience with the ASTRO 25 Trunking and Conventional Systems in order to provide support to the TSM team and the Managed Zone Core.

  • Experience Coaching and mentoring

  • Individual must have knowledge of maintaining a P&L

  • Excellent communications (oral and written) skills.

  • Additionally the potential candidate will be required to complete Standard Form 89 Questionnaire for National Security Positions.

Candidate may reside anywhere in the US with access to a major airport for necessary travel

Basic Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
