Job Description

The Lane Construction Corporation is one of America's leading construction companies, specializing in large, complex civil infrastructure. Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily and weekly safety meetings, and ensure crew members follow safety policies
  • Understanding plans and specifications
  • Supervise crew of craft workers including carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators
  • Supervise crew forming and pouring/finishing bridge columns, pier caps, abutments, bridge decks, retaining walls, drainage structures, and misc. items
  • Supervise crew setting bridge deck panels and beams
  • Supervise crew setting up and running Bidwell bridge deck concrete paving machines
  • Supervise crew tying/setting rebarcages
  • Crane rigging and flagging
  • Plan and schedule the week's work for crew and supply needs
  • Perform time keeping duties
  • Be able to understand survey layout
  • Communicate with inspectors
  • Rates depend upon experience
  • Must have high standard and pride of quality of workmanship

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of construction experience working with concrete forms, bridges, retaining walls, drainage structures or other rough carpentry work
  • Previous experience leading, and supervising craft employees is highly desired
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and a motor vehicle report/background check
  • Good work ethic
  • Be able to provide references
