Interns are an important part of what makes JLL a great place to work. Within our program, interns are an integral part of our team working alongside event professionals, marketing partners and business stakeholders. You will gain valuable insight into the meeting and event planning industry, specifically for commercial real estate, while being exposed to multiple lines of business over the course of your internship.

We are currently seeking an intern to join the Events Hub which is part of JLL Americas Marketing organization for summer 2021.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and a team player who is motivated to learn.

The intern will support event project management, planning and execution. They will learn best practices for an array of meetings and events from small leadership meetings, to large industry conferences.

Responsibilities will include:

Event management:
  • Virtual and in-person event project management, including budget management and reconciliation
  • Coordinate team activities (staff meetings, all-hands meetings, and social events)
  • National event calendar(s) management


Provide administrative support to the Events Hub:
  • Invitation list management (RSVP tracking)
  • Assist with invitation list creation
  • Event collateral draft, editing & print management (Name badges, etc.)
  • Venue & vendor invoice management and payment processing
  • Data entry and management
  • Event shipment management
  • Event supply inventory management
  • Assist with expenses as needed
  • Assist with meeting preparations such as organizing/printing handouts, presentations, etc.
  • Help execute events as part of a team
  • Perform additional job duties, as requested


This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn the dynamics of event planning and execution within a rewarding, collaborative, corporate environment in the commercial real estate industry.

Program Details:
  • Beginning June 7, 2021
  • Length of program runs 8-10 weeks
  • Full time (40 hours per week)


Qualifications:
  • Current undergraduate students majoring in:
    • Marketing
    • Hospitality
    • Communications
    • Other related fields applicable to event management
  • Desire to work in the events or hospitality industry
  • Rising seniors and 2021 graduates highly preferred


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift boxes and items around 25 pounds
  • Ability to be on your feet for an extended period, when onsite for events


Skills & Abilities:
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and take direction, but also independently
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to deliver superior results in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, treating others with respect and consideration
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
