The HR Intern owns the support of project work across HR team efforts in core HR, training and development, and talent acquisition. This role is accountable for the coordination of employee activities, professional internal communication, and data organization.

This position requires:

  • Summer internship
  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
  • 40 hours per week

To be successful in this role you will routinely accomplish:

  • Provide support in information gathering, data cleansing, and organization to prepare for and assist our transition to a new HRIS.
  • Assist in the coordination of events, activities, and communications for engagement programs including employee wellness, community involvement, team member appreciation, and celebration activities.
  • Support new employee onboarding processes, working across the team to ensure they feel welcome and equipped for success.
  • Coordinate internal team member communications through various media channels email, video, meetings, presentation, and digital, ensuring dynamic visual communication quality and clarity.
  • Provide general coordination in support of talent acquisition and employee development efforts, as requested and as a cross-trained backup to other team members.
  • Support the overall vision of the organization and perform other related duties as requested by leadership.
  • Plan and adapt with business growth and strategy, cross-training where necessary to accommodate different situations and locations.
  • Follow all legal and compliance requirements, including HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy

To ensure the best fit, your prior work experience will include:

  • Current pursuit of Bachelor's degree in business-related field, with preference for those considering or electing an HR concentration.
  • Strong professional presence and business acumen, excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the initiative to organize and prioritize responsibilities and tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with typical office applications, such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to take on all duties in support of ADVENT's success; understands the importance of a "no job is too small" mentality, and willingly takes on assignments and duties outside of the scope of the role.

Physical Demands in this role include:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to move about freely in typical office settings. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
