As an Analytical Instruments Technical Support Intern, you will apply your function specific sophomore year coursework to a variety of focused hands-on projects. At the same time, you will gain and apply knowledge about Agilent's industry, infrastructure and products in your assignment. This is developing real world experience in a company that is a leader in the markets it serves.

With this opportunity, you will join Agilent Technologies CrossLab Group's Online Technical Support Team, working with our global knowledge management projects, while also supporting local customers requesting hardware, software and applications assistance with Analytical Products and Solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a Global team to develop and enhance our technical knowledgebase
  • Working alongside Technical Agents to assist with platform troubleshooting.
  • Developing an understanding of technical support and problem solving for our customers.
  • Direct customer contact through phone/email channels; Service Request logging in the Agilent SAP Service CRM system and request routing to the appropriate technical team for handling.
  • Providing basic phone support in problem solving and technical support for our customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates will have completed sophomore or junior year towards a Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related science degree at an accredited 4-year university. You should be eager to build on your technical knowledge, customer service skills, and basic industry knowledge.

What will make you stand out:

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Must be a team player with ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interest in interacting directly with customers (via phone/email)
  • Technical writing skills (desired).
  • Relevant analytical instrumentation experience in the laboratory with any of Agilent's Gas Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, or Spectroscopy product lines (desired).
