Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates proficiency on manual machining, blueprint reading necessary to build, alter, or repair tools, fixtures, and components. Have established knowledge of G-code and able to construct minor programs.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with operation of CNC and CAM operations.
• Performs basic functions of machining as instructed for set up, operation of machines and machining principles as required.
• Initiate and contribute to continuous improvements in the department's methods, capabilities, efficiency and overall appearance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, KPIs, Lean, and Environmental Health and Safety.

Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working towards Associates Degree or Journeyman Tool & Die Card.
• Haas & Mazak experience preferred.
• Be capable of reading blueprints to perform required tasks.
• A strong mechanical inclination with prior experience with equipment set-up/operation/maintenance/calibration.
• Effective with use of computers, G-Code, CNC, CAM.
• Good organizational skills with sound written and verbal communication skills.
