Bank Website Experience Manager

The Capital One Consumer Bank Marketing Technology (MarTech) team is a growing group looking to bring in new, excited marketers. The MarTech group is responsible for using the advancements in marketing/ad technology, automation, marketing experience, data and predictive sciences to deliver people-based marketing at scale.

Capital One's Retail Bank grew deposits at an absolutely-breakneck pace last year, helping support the enterprise's equally impressive lending growth. The expansion was driven by leading-rate deposit products that help our Customers reach their savings goals, but also by cutting-edge marketing technology approaches that use analytics to target the right offers to varied Customer segments at the right time. Now, we're trying to outdo ourselves with industry-leading savings growth while also setting a lofty goal to supercharge our checking franchise growth. On the latter, we have an incomparable free / interest-bearing checking account, an award-winning mobile app, and a growing thin physical presence network comprised of branches, avant-garde cafes, and ATM's including embedded in bricks-and-mortar retail partner locations.

The Consumer Bank Marketing Technology team is seeking a Product Owner to lead the bank website experience. As Product Owner, this person will be responsible for how consumers see, navigate and interact with the website in a measurable way. As a primary focus the person will partner with tech teams to create and implement strategies to increase interaction and conversion with bank products and features. It will be integral to the success of the job to work with key partners in marketing, across the enterprise and technology to lead decisions and work streams. He or she should thrive in creative, fast-paced, and data-driven environments.This role will report to the Marketing Technology's Lead of Experience.The Product Owner will need to interface with a variety of business partners along with a dedicated tech team to ensure well-managed execution of the incentive fulfillment process.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Apply user-experience best practices and latest innovations to drive continuous improvement to the website.

  • Understand the role CMS's and DAM's play in a data driven marketing system

  • Evaluate new tools and share POV from business and technology integration aspects

  • Closely work with enterprise partners to bring to life new initiatives in a win win fashion

  • Work with marketing partners to drive strategy of new campaigns and the role the web plays in them

  • Ability to create and analyze tests

  • Ideate and communicate Drive customer journeys in various marketing platforms

  • Understand the role of data in the environments

  • Drive personalization strategies and execution

  • Measure the growth of channels

  • Be able to forecast and hit goals

  • Use industry tools to monitor and derive best in class marketing

  • Finds the right tone for engaging both Tech and Business partners and clearly articulates strategies, requirements, details and trade-offs between the two.

  • Understanding of Scrum and/or Scaled Agile Framework process and best practices

  • Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate around agile product management, with the goal of delivering breakthrough consumer experiences

  • Gather requirements using Scrum methodologies

  • Continuously refine and prioritize a backlog of new pages including redesign, feature enhancement, capability enhancements and tech mandated requests

  • Attend weekly tech team ceremonies; attend Consumer Bank Marketing Technology team meetings, as applicable, to understand the overall landscape and upcoming priorities

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in Marketing, Web or Digital

  • Bachelor's in Marketing or Computer Science

  • At least 5 years of experience with an enterprise web Content Management Systems (CMS)

  • At least 3 years of experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe SiteCatalyst, Data Studio and Google Tag Manager

  • At least 3 years of experience in search analytics tools Google Search Console, STAT, SEMRush Data

  • At least 5 years of experience with personalization and optimization tools and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Familiarity with agile methodology

  • Excellent web and digital media knowledge, strategic thinking ability and project management

  • Strong written communication skills and public speaking

  • Organized and effective time management

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Experience with content or web management

  • Proven experience in working well with others

  • Ability to lead while under pressure, as well as being highly responsive to business needs
