Job/Internship Description

Carpenter's Latrobe Specialty Metals operations, based in Latrobe, Pa., manufacture high-performance specialty alloys serving aerospace, energy and other demanding markets. Carpenter acquired Latrobe in 2012 to increase capacity to meet strong customer demand and to broaden the company's product mix. Latrobe employs more than 1,000 dedicated production, maintenance and salaried staff and continues a century-long legacy of leadership in metals technology. Latrobe is part of the corporation's Specialty Alloys Operations division.

ACCOUNTING (RMS) INTERN

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Gather information (quantitative and/or qualitative) from SAP to melt systems
  • Interface with accounting staff and charge calculation staff as needed to gain understanding of the process; give help and advice; and provide feedback on project updates and status
  • Perform basic statistical analyses as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program and have a minimum GPA of 2.75 to be considered
  • Major in accounting or a business related field and has completed at least one full year of academic study in the field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-driven in order to achieve results
