As a digital user experience (UX) intern, you will receive valuable practical work experience while supporting our digital team in the implementation and measurement of user experience enhancements. The internship also has a strong focus on learning how to be customer-centric by integrating physical to digital experiences.

What you would do in this job:

As a digital UX intern at Securian, you will receive valuable practical work experience while supporting our digital team in the implementation and measurement of Securian.com related experience enhancements. This role will also be responsible for developing and managing an enhancement that encompasses UX design, content development, social and digital paid media, measurement and reporting.

  1. Applying user-centered design principles to create effective digital solutions and improve the user experience

  2. Developing and presenting wireframes and user experience recommendation based on customer feedback and best practices

  3. Analyzing customer feedback and behaviors to identify trends and recommend changes that will improve the user experience

  4. Partnering with social and analytics to develop social media campaign and metrics to help achieve business objectives

  5. Partnering with our internal team to develop, edit and review digital content.

  6. Developing tools and presentations for internal audiences on user trends and results of testing activities.

Physical job requirements:

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 1-4 hours per day

  • Ability to utilize phone for approximately 1-4 hours per day
