Claims Analyst (WD30072213155)

What you will do
Main duties will include the development, execution and management of construction claim processes for complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have claims management experience in a fast-paced construction environment, including with respect to preparation and management of notices and reports. Quick review and assessment of a variety of information in various formats and from various stakeholders is critical to success. This is a virtual position with travel 40-50%. Success in this role will also require a complete understanding of general contract terms and conditions and keen attention to detail and scheduling.

How you will do it
  • Review and manage construction contracts and documents
  • Review and monitor construction schedules
  • Create and manage claims for extension of time and other impacts
  • Proficient with estimating skills particular to analyzing change order requests
  • Evaluate Specifications & Drawings to determine quality and quantity of device or equipment types
  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on schedules and contracts are met (e.g. payments and completion of work)
  • Assist with review, organization, preparation and management of construction claim notices and reports
  • Review, update and/or create construction contract management templates
  • Experience evaluating and successfully negotiating claims
  • Communicate with internal and external business partners about contract terms and requirements
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients, vendors and co-workers
  • Maintain organized system of physical and digital records for all claims information
  • Ability to work with little oversight and multiple stakeholders

Qualifications
What we look for
Required
  • A Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture or related degree is required
Preferred
  • Some construction claims experience with a history of success participating in large-scale claims management assignments
  • Understand Project Controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, risk/issue management, claims and dispute resolution
  • Experience on complex construction projects
  • Superior organizational and schedule management skills
  • Excellent communication and oral presentation and written skills
  • Experience with P6 and Construction Contract Management tools like eBuilder, Master Builder, Aconex, or Primavera Unifier, a plus.
