Responsible for:

Various special projects, ad hoc executive presentations and financial reporting requests. Position provides exposure to various areas of the accounting department - Financial Reporting and Forecasting, Financial Planning/Budgeting, Capital Investment Accounting and other core accounting groups. Individual will receive cross-functional training during their initial tenure and will likely be placed into a permanent role within the Accounting department within 6 - 12 months where various responsibilities include, but are not limited to preparing management financial reports, regulatory financial reports and portions of SEC financial reports, account reconciliations, performance and testing of SOX controls.

Successful candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to meet deadline-oriented tasks. Candidate must be flexible/versatile and able to manage multiple tasks and work with various individuals other departments. This position must positively contribute to a high-morale/high-performance culture and demonstrate the ability to organize team efforts to accomplish common goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting. Minimum of 2 years' of professional work experience in public accounting. CPA or CPA-candidate. Applicant must possess an expert understanding generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Applicant must be able to research accounting issues and conclude on the proper accounting treatment. Applicant must have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Applicant must be able to adjust readily to multiple demands and shifting priorities. Personal computer skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work experience with a large public accounting firm

Masters' Degree in accounting or business administration
